What is Digital about Digital Innovation? An Ontological Discussion of Digitality

This study explores the ontology of Digitality and its impact on Digital Innovation (DI), proposing a conceptual framework with four layers: physical foundations, virtuality, digital culture and world, and digital metaphysics. By analyzing literature and discussing human perspectives, the study contributes to a deeper theoretical and practical understanding of Digitality in DI.
