This study conducts a systematic literature review on the role of small businesses in digital platform ecosystems, analyzing key themes such as digital transformation, strategy development, and platform adoption. Based on the findings, the study proposes a research agenda focusing on practical and human-centered approaches to enhance innovation, resilience, and digital leadership in small businesses.
